Trust Fall Review

Trust Fall (Lynn Painter)

(No Spoilers!)

Date Published: September 29, 2026
Date Read: September 29, 2026 - October 5, 2026
My Personal Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lynn Painter has done it again! I already knew this book was going to be amazing from when she first announced it. A fall, enemies to lovers book based in New York City? Five stars. I didn't even need to read it. Anyway, it was amazing! I love that the third-act breakup wasn't super awful like Betting On You or Fake Skating, and it ended quickly. I loved every part about this book. Especially Damion. I LOVE him. Charlie is still my favorite of her characters, but I think boyfriend-wise it has to be Damion. By like, a landslide. Some of the things he said sounded like quote-farming, but I honestly didn't care. Also, I LOVE the cover. I think it's so pretty! Especially the Barnes and Noble edition!

Books To Get You Into Reading

Trying to get into reading? Here are five easy, fast-paced books!

1. Better Than The Movies (Lynn Painter)

Genre: Young Adult, Romance
Pages: 384
First of all, almost everyone loves this book. It's enjoyable and feels just like a rom-com. It is also currently being made into a movie! They're filming in Chicago right now. I really enjoy this book and have heard many people say it's the book that got them into reading.

2. The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins)

Genre: Young Adult, Dystopian
Pages: 374
This is an obvious choice. The Hunger Games is one of the most popular series, basically everyone has heard of it. It is part of a trilogy and has two prequels, along with six movies.

3. The Naturals (Jennifer Lynn Barnes)

Genre: Young Adult, Mystery
Pages: 320
This is one of my favorite books and series. It gets to the plot very quick and never has a dull moment. There are four books, a fifth one coming out November 3rd. I absolutely love Jennifer Lynn Barnes; she is an amazing author. Some people also say The Inheritance Games (also by her) is a good book to get you into reading. I didn't enjoy it as much and thought it was kind of boring, but if you're interested you can look it up. A great series if you enjoy plot-twists.

4. A Good Girls Guide to Murder (Holly Jackson)

Genre: Young Adult, Mystery/Thriller
Pages: 400
I absolutely love this trilogy! There is also a short prequel/novella. It was turned into a Netflix tv show, but I highly recommend reading the book first. It's fast-paced and I thought it was so fun trying to figure out who the killer was. Again, I love the author. I have never read a bad Holly Jackson book. Also, if you like plot-twists, I highly recommend this one too. (The picture is the US cover, but the UK cover is very similar.)

5. Harry Potter (J.K Rowling)

Genre: Kids/Young Adult/Coming of Age, Fantasy

Pages: 223 (first book)
I LOVE Harry Potter so much! Even though I don't support the author, it's an amazing series. Even though the later books are very long, the first three are short! It's fast-paced and a great book to get you into reading. It is one of the most popular book series of all time! Even though it is technically a kid's book, it is very fun for adults to read as well. If you have already read this and want something similar, you can also read Percy Jackson. If you've already seen the movies, the books have some things that are very different, so I would still recommend reading them! (Also, the first book in the UK is called The Philosopher's Stone, and the US version is called The Sorcerer's Stone.)

Eleanor and Park Review

 First Review !!

(Minor Spoilers)

This is my first review, so I'm just going to yap about random things

Book: Eleanor and Park (Rainbow Rowell)
Date Published: April 12, 2012
Date Read: September 30, 2026 - October 1, 2026
My Personal Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really enjoyed this book, I liked both the characters even though Eleanor pissed me off sometimes. I thought it had good writing and the words flowed together nicely. It was very easy to read. The only thing that I absolutely hate though, is the ending. WHY DID SHE NOT CALL HIM???????? Or send a letter?!?!?! Like after all that you're just going to ghost him??? Seriously?? In general, the book kind of reminded me of Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren. I also HATED the ending in that book. But anyways, I thought it was really good.

Also, here's a picture of the cover:
